Rather than relying on security personnel to manually identify exceptions, Incidents continuously monitors activity across your site and automatically identifies events that require attention based on rules you define.

Every organisation operates differently. A logistics company has different priorities to a residential estate, a corporate office or a mining operation. Instead of forcing every site into the same workflow, Incidents can be configured around your operational requirements.

For example, a construction site may choose to automatically identify contractors whose inductions have expired before they are granted access. A corporate office may want after-hours access attempts highlighted immediately so security can verify whether entry is authorised. A logistics operation may monitor vehicles that remain off-site longer than expected, while a residential estate may track visitor entry and exit mismatches that could indicate an anomaly.

Administrators simply configure the conditions that should trigger an incident.

These can include:

• Expired driver's licences

• Expired or incomplete contractor inductions

• After-hours access attempts

• Vehicles with licence discs that don't match the registered number plate

• Entry and exit mismatches, such as two people entering but only one leaving

• Assets or vehicles remaining off-site longer than permitted

The platform continuously evaluates activity against these predefined rules. When a condition is met, an incident is automatically created, ensuring important events are identified the moment they occur rather than after someone happens to notice them.

For organisations that require additional screening, incidents can also be triggered using trusted third-party databases and watchlists, including NAVIC and Metagrated, providing another layer of intelligence to existing access control processes.

Of course, identifying an incident is only valuable if the right people know about it.

Administrators can configure how each type of incident should be handled. Some may simply notify specific personnel, while others can trigger immediate escalation or even automatically deny access where appropriate. This creates a consistent response based on company policy, reducing reliance on manual decision-making during critical moments.

Over time, incident data also becomes a valuable operational resource.

Scheduled reports can be generated daily, weekly or monthly, giving management a clear view of the incidents recorded across the selected period. Reports include information such as identification details, vehicle registration numbers, entry and exit times, and the reason the incident was generated, making investigations, compliance reporting and operational reviews significantly easier.

Good security isn't about recording more incidents. It's about recognising the right ones early enough to take action.
